Myfitnesspal.com

After a long hiatus--and a long chat some of us had this morning with my friend Eric from boot camp, who recently lost 21 pounds--I decided to track my food closely again. I thank Nan for pointing me to user-friendly myfitnesspal.com in the first place. I can easily log every nibble there, brand name or not, from Endangered Species dark chocolate to Dole coleslaw mix [so low-cal].

I try to be pretty active, so I'm taking Patsy's advice this time and not even logging my exercise, Last time around, I logged everything from housework to hiking but then I'd eat up all those extra cals burned. Now I'lll just keep an eye on calorie count and all exercise will be a bonus. I'll still aim for 10,000 steps daily with my fitbit flex bracelet.

I really enjoyed watercress and.a tuna burger on wheat bun today.

Good night to you.

  1. Boot camp in the park, hard but with my pals.
  2. Lots of nice watercress with little Cindy's Power Dressing.
  3. Went to see "The Grand Budapest Hotel" with H. at 2 p.m. We found it to be a bit of a frosty fable--like the fanciful pastries that play a pivotal role in it. Still, had to see it. Campy but entertaining.
  4. Myfitnesspal.com again!

  1. Alice, I found that was key for me---NOT counting exercise as plus points in WW. Good luck on this renewed venture! Looking forward to following you on it!

  3. I'll see you there! I'm back in it now. I've proved to myself that tracking is the way for me to avoid gaining, and sometimes to lose. The mere fact of tracking changes what I'm going to eat.
