Good Night, Sleep Tight

Grateful to spend the night at Paige and Gary's elegant party across the street. Kids were invited, and Punchy loved it [she brought a metal pot lid and two sets of chopsticks, for her and her pal Rowan to bang in the new year].

We made asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and cheesy bread. It's a twist on a Giada recipe. Punchy helped by grating lots of Parmigiano Reggiano and Jarlsberg and snipping sage leaves. You brush the dough with olive oil, press on the cheese & herbs, sprinkle on fleur de sel and bake.

H. was writing 60-Second Novels at a wedding in Philly. He did one for the bride and groom and many others.

Paige and Gary have great taste. Tonight, glowing candles everywhere, glittery silver leaves in a vase. Paige wore a sparkly beaded dress, so pretty with her platinum blonde hair. A pitcher of Gary's lychee cocktail, chicken in tender lettuce-leaf cups, wines, and Paige's dark rich brownies and other desserts. And: the flutes of bubbly passed at midnight.

I enjoyed talking to my neighbors and friends.

H. and I were on the phone and I texted Sis, Figgy and Moey. Blessings for us all.
