Full Tilt

A photographer's interpretation of the Tilt-A-Whirl.

I felt many things just now as I rode up on the elevator from the sleek business center, after completing a deadline. They mostly ended in ful. I started out feeling grateful for my hands, my fingers, my brain, that they can capably create. They are proficient. And then I kind of blew that when I got back to the condo and ate all the wrong things [a lemon bar, a small pack of Raisinets, a chocolate bar] and too much of the okay things [brushetta, light Cheddar, extra-dark pretzels, graham crackers].

Why did I have to spin down to the depths? Why couldn't I just stay positive, stay up,  believe? I can do so many things right, how come avoiding overeating is not one of them? [Well, it was almost midnight and all I'd had for dinner was a cup of yogurt and a bag of Cheetos from the vending machine. Still, I want to live better and treat myself right, not wrong.]

My own personal Tilt-A-Whirl--from positive to negative [and back again to positive, I now realize] in 30 minutes flat.
  1. Grateful.
  2. Thankful.
  3. Peaceful.
  4. Hopeful.
  5. Wishful.
  6. Willful.
  7. Forceful.
  8. Regretful.
  9. Hateful.
  10. Remorseful.
  11. Full.
  12. Faithful.
  13. Thoughtful.
  14. Mindful.
Better days ahead. Starting with tomorrow.
Here's the link to the cool photo above: http://www.redbubble.com/people/jnotti/art/3933342-2-tilt-a-whirl. The actual ride called a Tilt-A-Whirl does not look like this, but that's fine by me. This artist, Jeff Notti, caught the tilting idea just right.
