Blogger's Block

Until I read the label at Kings tonight, I didn't know that
the magical Jergens scent
I found so magical as a girl was cherry-almond.
Freeze frame. For the first time since I started blogging daily almost a year ago, I don't know what to write about. I never don't know what to write about when facing a tempting clean page here. I am one of those people who can breezily strike up a conversation on a bus or elevator with a perfect stranger. And blogging is my chance to write outside the box, not according to the rules I play by for article assignments.

But here I am, sitting at the kitchen table with blogger's block. What a can I spin a post about?

Maybe the Jergens lotion I just smelled at Kings--with the famous cherry-almond scent that took me back to girlhood, when I had a little sample bottle and loved the intoxicating fragrance?

Maybe my friends, how I am so grateful to have them in my life?

Maybe my fluffy, funny dog, who is my constant companion and sweetheart always?

Maybe depression, because it's something I've come to know quite well both first- and secondhand?

Maybe Dad, with an update?

Maybe baking, because I love it?

Maybe tiredness, because it weighs me down?

Maybe Montclair, and where to get the best big warm wedge of pizza over the counter on an icy winter night? [Villa Victoria on Park Street--I got one to split with Dad tonight]

Maybe reading, because I'm heading to bed to do some now?

Maybe snow, because it's here again?

Thank you for listening to my rambling. Good night.

  1. Blogger's block. That's funny. Gee, you were even able to come up with something even if it's about not being able to come up with something. You are very creative. Love, Linda
