The Little Things in Life

The robin redbreast, a treat to see. Photo from blog.glennf.com.
Grateful for the simple things. Figgy on one side, Sug on the other, both leaning against me while we watch a movie. H. sitting close to me during a scary scene. Walking the dog, seeing a dad and son walking theirs. Planting blue and pale yellow pansies. Having a latte, and not having to worry about the price. Knowing that Fig and her friends had fun last night. Figgy confiding something in me at the dairy case in Whole Foods, while I was mulling over the best brand of butter for the best price. She kind of slipped something in, information I'm glad she shared with me. Interesting. Maybe she is starting to trust me more, or see me more for who I am.

Good night.

TCOY
  1. Picked up--and put down--big sacks of Swedish Fish and mini Reese's PB Cups in CVS.  Thought about how good they taste, how soft and sweet the chewy red fish are. Also thought about how unhealthy it would be to eat huge bag, and about how they're made from artificial ingredients, chemicals, etc. Let myself get a 180-calorie Dove chocolate bar.
  2. Starbucks tall latte; stared down Cake Pops.
  3. Whole Foods with Figgy. Got green grapes, sweet strawberries, Dorset Marmalade Granola for treat, delicious pitted green olives with garlic + lemon, Tazo Sweet Cinnamon Spice teabags, more.
  4. Slice of toasted oatmeal bread with salted butter. Yum.
  5. Walked Sug to Iris Gardens, saw robin redbreasts.
