The Royal Treatment

I love Kate's dress for the reception tonight.
Look at the jeweled trim, and the soft white angora sweater!

I set the alarm for 5:50 A.M. to watch the royal wedding. Toyed with idea of getting up to make pot of English Breakfast tea and put on the telly. Alas, couldn't rouse myself. Caught snippets here and there, listened to the BBC radio report in the car and did a little googling.

I am no duchess, I did not marry into royalty--but just seeing Kate brings back memories of being a bride.

Just look at her. She is the picture of joy, good fortune, beauty, pure-bred taste and elegance. Freshness, hope--and royalty, with a healthy dose, somehow, of girl-next-door wholesomeness and merriment.

There's a magic about the photos that connects her to every bride who was or will be. Something timeless. And she will surely bring gorgeous brunettes back into vogue!

Go, Kate. Go, William. Live happily ever after.
