Baked Out, Caked Out

Tomorrow is the neighborhood bake sale I'm running--with the help of my friends--to raise money for Toni's Kitchen. It will be held at my neighbors' house. They have a porch, and we need that in case it rains.

I know I've hit my cake quota. I haven't spoken to Sis or Moey in two days [that's a lot] and I just spilled about one-third of my Nora Ephron cheesecake batter before I got it into the oven.

But it's all for the greater good. And you should see what's on the board: Elly's chocolate chip cookies; Sally's key lime pie and oatmeal chippers; Anne's tender, buttery cake from an Ina Garten recipe; Amy's famous scones [plus famous apple pie that we're auctioning off]; Lisa's chocolate-chip banana bread; Beth's summer berry bread pudding; teen Rena's Oreo truffles; goodies made by the two sweet Panucci teen girls and their mom, another Beth; my cheesecake, brownies and streusel coffee cake; and treats from Paige, Carol and Liliana. What a kind and generous neighborhood.

  2. Lisa, thank you. You don't owe me any more than that, b/c I lost some of the batter on way into oven. Sorry but thank you!!!!! I will save it for you!!!!!!!!!!
