Who knew that I would go to Colorado and return with a new beauty best friend? |
Here's a frivolous post, about a lip product I'm really loving: Ormedic Balancing Lip Enhancement Complex by Image Skincare.
Wait a minute--is the quest for pretty lips frivolous? I think not.
I've tried many, many lip balms. They're the quickest route to beauty. Even if you're pressed for the time or desire to apply moisturizer, foundation, eye cream, concealer, shadow, brow pencil, mascara, blush and/or bronzer [gee, even listing all that is tiring], anyone can find the time to glide on a lip treatment [and maybe add a quick spritz of fragrance, too].
I've used Smashbox O-Gloss, $22; Jo Malone Vitamin E Lip Conditioner, $25 [which my generous big sister bought me at Bloomingdale's in Soho]; Cherry ChapStick, $1.39 [and it's not half bad]; and countless others. Lip treatments are generally on the affordable end of even high-profile beauty lines.
I didn't try this one until I got my facial at the Rocky Mountain Day Spa in Steamboat Springs, CO in December and Amanda put this on my lips.
Do you like how your lips feel? she asked as I was leaving. I did. And I really liked how they looked. It may have been the mountain air, I don't know, but I liked the nude, soft, natural understated statement. I bought a tube for $19--and even hunted it down just now on Amazon for $17.50 [not sure how much it costs to ship, though]. It's addictive. I love to reapply it many times a day. It makes me feel younger.
Now, obviously, this could become an expensive habit. But I'm still on Tube 1, and got it December 17, so....
Sweet dreams.
