H. and I saw "Bernie" tonight. What a brilliant film. We loved it. Jack Black plays an undertaker from a small Texas town who ends up moving in with a much older, wealthy widow [Shirley MacLaine]. It's based on a true story--reported in Texas Monthly magazine by writer Skip Hollandsworth--and that makes it even more fascinating. The real townspeople are featured a lot, too, with their reactions to it all. Matthew McConaughey is also excellent. Truly inspired. Go, go, go.
