Al I Want for Christmas--or the Song That Made My Day

I heard this again on 90.7 FM after driving Fig and Christy to high school. Oh it sets me on the right course for today! Check it out. Makes me dance in my swivel desk chair.

Dear Santa,

I hope you and Mrs. Claus are doing well, and please ask her to send me her best sugar cookie recipe. Since you'll be stopping by anyway, I hope it won't be too much trouble. [Please remember: We will be in Florida this year.]

I have tried to be very good this year, but I am human. Please bring me:
  • The Avett Brothers CD with "Live and Die" on it.
  • Ina Garten's new Foolproof cookbook. I promised Figgy I wouldn't buy any cookbooks for a few months and this is killin me.
  • Tory Burch gift card.
  • Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery Cookbook.
  • Swingy or sparkly earrings.
  • Bruce, the biography of Bruce Springsteen.
  • A great book to teach me more about Lincoln--in his own words.
Have a good day and rest up. I will leave you some good cookies.

Love, Alice

  3. I love those guys, and the song your friend Kim mentioned. That's from an older CD, though. Even my kids like "Live and Die." :)
