Foghorn

This is the kind of weather that would be perfect for a movie set on a rainy night on the coast of Maine or on Cape Cod...the kind of weather that a lighthouse beam will slice right through....

I took a big step today, with thanks from Nan, whom I met through Kim......Nan and I have never met in person, but we follow each other's progress on myfitnesspal.com. And Nan suggested that I plan my snacks, and make them good ones. It seems so obvious, right? Of course it does. Except I wasn't doing it. I was grabbing snacks like they were disappearing off the face of the earth.

I did it today, and I'm happy I did. I planned for an orange and had an orange. I planned for a mug of homemade fair-trade spicy hot cocoa but then had spicy peanuts instead, so am saving the cocoa for tomorrow. Nan was my lighthouse beam through foggy abandon. I am thankful.

Good night.
