Figgy & Punch [in her soccer clothes for 5 p.m. class] at Bartlett's in Clifton. She's holding Coco or Chanel--I forget which kitten was MIA. |
Fig was on her way into NYC to meet her Parsons roommates for a "family dinner" even though she's on leave of absence. She is planning to return in September. |
- Mrs. Claus had a sitter tonight--H. was working in the city, and wonderful Elaine bathed Punch and put her to bed. After parent-teacher conference at 7:50, may have donned Mrs. Claus persona and gone to toy central, and got exactly what Punch wanted before the 11th hour. In an empty store at 9:15, where sales associates were easy to find, as were Baby Alive and the Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven. [I can't believe I never had one. I wanted one.]
- Bubble bath.
- Short nap.
- Um....about the sugar thing? It was tough today because Figgy made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting to bring to her dinner. I walked by that bowl of leftover frosting several times but then I caved and had a few spoonfuls. I then walked to the brownie pan [she made brownie pudding Sunday night, and I hadn't so much as tasted it till now] and took two spoonfuls. But I did stop. I don't want to go back to all those sweets. I was killing myself. But I need to work on more actively substituting healthy foods.
Re the sugar: I assume you saw the NYTimes article yesterday? Of COURSE you went for more, and deserve HUGE kudos for stopping.
