London Bridge

H. flying to London tomorrow as part of his book tour for Smarter. The publisher arranged it. I can't lie, I'd love to be jetting to Europe. A little bit jealous, though I know it's still hard work.

We generally drive each other to the airport for work trips, so we're leaving at 6:30 A.M. and I'll be back in time to get Punch to the school bus [Figgy and Sug will be home, too].

Alas, I won't be in London, seeing the palace, sipping tea, eating scones, checking out fashions, shopping. I will be here. It's not the right time to leave Punch behind. But her grandma, Hope, is taking her Thursday evening til Sunday afternoon, so I plan to rest and recuperate. And what really excites me is that Hope is also taking the little brunette, God bless her, over Presidents' Weekend, and that's when our 23rd anniversary falls. We hope to go away alone for a night or two. I'm going to start planning!

Good night.

TCOY
  1. Boot camp in the dome.
  2. Walked Puff around the block.
  3. Our boot camp friend Diana--who lost more than 70 pounds!--invited us all to a sugar talk at her home today. She and Elizabeth, both holistic health counselors now, co-led, and it was wonderful. They also served a yummy, healthy lunch, Elizabeth's brownies made with dark chocolate and chickpeas, talked about artificial sweeteners and how much sugar lurks in foods we buy, and even touched on the benefits of whole milk vs. more processed skim. Their contact info: Diana is dianasabloff.com and Elizabeth is puresimplewellness.com.
  4. Did my delicate wash with Woolite. Yay.

  2. Eek, I'm kind of jealous, too! Pete just got back from San Francisco ... it is not easy to be the spouse who never goes anywhere. Enjoy that little breather that's coming your way.
