Must work tomorrow, though Punch has no school due to teacher workshops. Have golden sitter, Elaine, coming from 12 to 2, then Punchy has an appointment.

1. Sorry to say today was anti-TCOY--chocolate, a little froyo, four Mallomars--but that's about to change. I can't drown in chocolate and shorten my life because H. broke his wrist and will be in a cast for 5 weeks. It's bad, with sink backed up, dishwasher broken, loads of laundry, etc. etc. and no help from him, but I will muddle through. BUT shoe score: I went to Garden State Plaza with my friend Anne and our girls, Nikki and Punch, and at Nordstrom, I bought a beautiful pair of ladylike black Prada pumps that were $620, marked down to under $200. Just very slightly under, let's be real. But I love them! The only other Prada pair I had was from a thrift shop, years back. Since Nordstrom had a single size 11 on the clearance rack, it was a sign from the fashion gods.
2. When Punch was with Nikki earlier in day, I took a nap.
