Punchy is away for one overnight with her Mimi & Poppy, and I want to read and rest rather than blog. So much to tell you, though. About a tear-filled memorial service in Newark this morning for a wonderful woman who just died suddenly at age 44. About the movie "Still Alice," which I raced out to see tonight [H. already had plans to play poker at a big poker party]. And the soundtrack, especially the last song, "If I Had a Boat." So beautiful. But I'm signing off. Good night.

- Tears for fears at the 2.25-hour memorial service. But it was uplifting in the end, as heart-wrenching as it was. The pastor was inspiring.
- Ice water.
