A Day at the Races

H. on pressing work deadlines--I've been pretty much flying solo w Punch. Palm Sunday Mass [not proud of her behavior]; drop Sugar at groomer for Easter bouffant; horse lesson. Then Punchy's quick change in car into her flouncy skating skirt and white tights for friend's skating bday party at Clary Anderson Arena. Three hours later, another quick change into shorts and shirt and shin guards, soccer cleats.

But that's not all. Cartwheels at every juncture [on field after soccer practice, in hallway at home]. Run over to play with pal Rowan after 5. Warm bath with lavender bubbles. And she's still fighting sleep.

If we could bottle Punchy's energy, we would be very, very rich. As for me, I took a nap when she went to play with Rowan next-door. Good night.

Grooming Maggie with Miss Krista today.

TCOY
1. Mass.
2. Day 8 no sugar! No cupcake at birthday party, no treat at Cakeaholic, this adorable new bake shop near the dog groomer in South End of Montclair. Punch got a brownie and said it was as good as the ones we make from scratch. It sure smelled good. The homey notes of chocolate baked with butter...
3. Had real foods on hand. Popcorn, banana PB smoothie, baby Swiss with crackers, green jasmine tea with splash of organic cream.
