Can't go into details re foster care. Very rough day. Doing our best--heart and soul. Spent hours in Newark. Trying to keep my eye on the high road.
No matter how many hours spent in mandatory foster parent training, it was impossible to be prepared for the desert storm of concerns and demands, for baring one's soul on behalf of someone small in a roomful of people. For speaking your truth and facing the consequences.
On another note, tomorrow Punchy turns exceptional 8!!!! I'm making Baker's Chocolate Brownies cut into heart and flower shapes per her request.
That's a demand I can easily meet.
Night. Chalk this Wednesday up as one of my toughest days on record.
