2:41 a.m. in Belfast, Maine

We didn't leave home until 4ish and we hit holiday and rush hour traffic, plus rain and fog. Punchy slept for hours in the car and now she is wide awake and resisting sleep, and H. is exhausted from driving 450 miles. [I offered to drive partway but he declined.]

I have to sign off so we can sleep in this hotel room. Good night.
