Watching the Clock

I don't like days that are all about rush here, rush there. Today was like that. Two banks, soccer game, go home for Punch lunch and clothing change, horseback lesson. Leaping in and out of the car, cranking up the A.C. as soon as I got in.

But three good things: I spoke to my Uncle Jackie [one of my mom's three younger brothers, all still living] on his 85th birthday; got my hair blown dry; and picked up my necklace repair from Frederic Goodman Jewelers on Bellevue Avenue. I love red-headed Jeannie [sp?], who has untangled many chains for me.

When Dad was alive, he was my go-to jewelry fixer.

Good night, sweet dreams.
