It's hard when things don't turn out as you'd hoped and planned. No crystal ball, no reliable map as a parent. Half the time, it feels like I'm riding bare back and without reins.
And it's also hard when you're trying to avoid sweet treats and 19-year-old vegan daughter and sweet vegan friend whip up a chocolate peanut butter layer cake, with fine dark cocoa and 2 cups of sugar. Two lofty layers under a cap of peanut butter frosting.
I'm safe upstairs away from that pedestal plate in the fridge. And I will continue to chart my own path as a parent. Good night.
TCOY
1. Boot camp in park.
2. Weeded around sunflowers. Happy to see my nasturtium seeds have taken hold and taken off.
