1. Delicious, sun-ripened Jersey tomato eaten with a sprinkle of salt at table in Dan and Cara's garden. Also: Local apricots, plus watermelon and avocado.

2. Ice cream. That's right. I have been craving a good gourmet scoop this summer and got it in the town of Hudson today at Lick. I had cappuccino Kahlua flavor with excellent hot fudge. Tiny place, long line. Would pass up weeks of supermarket ice cream for one perfect cup from Lick.
