H. made a fire in our hearth. So cozy. In other news, doing my best day by day as a writer and mother. It ain't always easy, that's for darn sure. And the mother part is a lot harder than the writer part. Standing by and watching a 20-year-old become herself and trying to keep an 8-year-old on the right road....challenging. Much easier to think up interview questions, do research and craft sentences.
Sweet surprise: I went next-door after dinner for help modifying an excel file and my smart young neighbor, Iam, quickly solved the mystery. And then his smart young wife, Jenny, brought out her stash of Li-Lac Chocolates that her Mom had given her for Christmas. [Check li-lacchocolates.com.] Such a treat. I brought home to Punchy a milk chocolate caramel square, nestled in its dark cocoa-colored, crinkly pleated paper wrapper. A little bit of glamour in our lives. The January bills may be stacking up, but we just had a taste of luxury.
Good night to you.
