Oscar Watching

Watching now from living room couch. Had a restful weekend, even with drive up to Saddle River to work yesterday, seeing two incredible mansions to write about. SR is the town where mystery novelist Mary Higgins Clark hangs her hat [I've read that for years at the back of her books] and where Richard Nixon & family lived post-Watergate. Two-acre lots, privacy.

Pleased to say I went to book group today--a lot of laughs, love those brunches--and walked Sug twice, meeting my step goal. Took a nap with window open while Punch was on play date and enjoyed whipping up a jar of Chocolate Sauce w Honey from Melissa Clark cookbook to serve over small scoops ice cream at book group. Used fine Lindt Bittersweet Chocolate, 3.5 oz. bars in white wrappers. [One friend is dairy and gluten-free, so I substituted coconut oil for the butter in the sauce and brought Van Leeuwen vegan chocolate ice cream.]

Gnite, sleep tight.
