Bath vs. Blog

I really want to take a relaxing lavender bubble bath, so I will choose that over a long blog post. Today was gray and rainy. We made a morning visit to the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary but too chilly for turtle sightings! We played jack straws and H. and Punch made molded glycerin soaps from a cute kit the Mernins gave her.

At about 5:45, we headed to Provincetown, maybe a 35-minute drive. Miraculously, the sun emerged. I'll let my photos tell the rest. Good night. Peace.

Old Harbor Life Saving Station, Race Point Beach.

Later.

Later still.

H. and Punchy at ocean's edge.

Stunning brush strokes.

Pilgrim Monument. Went up it once, years back.

We happened upon Napi's, and all three of us loved it. H. had a Portuguese seafood stew, so delicious, and full-bodied red Portuguese wine. I had linguini carbonara with shrimp, a true indulgence. We three shared salad with toasted pecans and pears and a slice of fudge cake with homemade ice cream. I'm kind of a fudge cake expert, and it was world-class, rich and moist. Napi and Helen have been around Ptown for maybe 42 years! We were so glad to happen upon this spot. Dan and David waited on us par excellence. I felt pampered and am grateful for a nice dinner out.
