The Mint Chip Superfood Smoothie from Julie Morris. I don't think mine will look as good; for one thing, our fridge is dying and I can't make fully frozen ice. |
Tomorrow I'm making one with fresh mint, frozen spinach and fruit, raw cashews, vanilla, rice milk, cacao nibs....I look forward to waking up! But I have boot camp and an appointment after that, and don't usually like to eat or drink too much right before boot camp, so probably have to rise earlier for time to digest.
Sweet dreams.

Last night, I felt exhausted and with an overwhelming urge for chocolate. I sat in front of the TV (Outlander) and mindlessly consumed chocolate chips, one after the other, right from the bag. This morning, I feel it could have been worse, at least their small size slowed me down and I stopped before the bag was empty.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Nan. Yes, it definitely could have been worse and I can completely relate. It's good you stopped before the bag was empty; that can be hard to do. Once, when I was working at Good Housekeeping, I bought a biggish Toblerone bar during lunch and then ate the whole thing. I sheepishly told my friend, the food editor. "Sometimes your body just needs chocolate," she said. Nan, do you have a tub to take bubble baths? Or even a pampering shower w a nice scrub. My OA friend tells me sitting in front of the TV is dangerous. Sometimes I make a big bowl of popcorn or might mindlessly watch and mindlessly eat. Don't beat yourself up. With all the good things you do!!!! Next time try one of the scrubs sold by the lb at whole foods. VERY expensive but VERY soothing. Have a good day, Nan. :) Alice
