Brooklyn Heights field trip w my editor/friend today:
The Promenade.
Beautiful window.
1. Boot camp in park.
2. Lots of ice water.
3. Long planned afternoon in Brooklyn Heights w my Aspire Magazine editor. She drove us in and stayed longer; I took #2 subway and #66 bus home to get to Punchy. We walked along Montague Street [visited HomeStories, which we featured in a recent issue], got iced drinks and strolled along the Promenade, checked out Brooklyn Historical Society on Pierrepont Street, saw beautiful flower boxes. What a lovely neighborhood. I could live there!!!!! [[Thought of my Brooklyn friends K & F, and about the brownstone studio apt. H. had in Brooklyn.]
4. Ate half a peach.
5. Between boot camp and subway/city walking, hit 6.7 miles on my Fitbit.
The Heights is really easy on the eyes!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim. Yes, I can't believe how lovely it is. Amy & I felt like we were in another country...such a vacation in a few hours. I don't know why I don't go to Brooklyn more often, and I kept thinking about how lucky you are to live there. I loved the people...there was just a true blue feeling about them. Love, Alice
