Sick Day

Punchy couldn't fall asleep last night....she kept sending poor H. down for snacks, such as the crustless white Pepperidge Farm bread he served with butter. Then at around 1 a.m., she got up to go to the bathroom, came into our room and confessed that she had been playing on her Kindle for hours. We took that away faster than you can say Trump's hair is orange and will be monitoring it much more closely. For the last week, we were able to trust her to just leave it in the charger on her dressing table.

She had some tummy trouble so I kept her home from school. But that has challenges of its own, as you know....finally finished a work task just now. It was a day of tea and sympathy, plus soup, bread, and the iced Starbucks drink her sister, Figgy, brought her. God bless them both and watch over them. May God hold them in the hollow of His hand.

Good night.

TCOY
  1. Signed up online to go to yoga classes on Saturday and Sunday.
  2. Bubble bath.
  3. Went to sit shiva at my boot camp friend Amy's house for her good Dad. Lisa and Maria were there, too. I love seeing those women, although the circumstances were sad. We boot camp friends stick together in triumphs and tragedies.
  4. Trying to talk calmly, set boundaries and hold my own. It has been hard lately due to certain circumstances.
