H. drove to Maine for a few days to see his Mom and family, so I was on duty for the early Saturday indoor soccer [futsal] game. Go big mean green machine. I just made that up. Punchy's team's uniforms were hot green this season. [She is shown at right, above.]
It was a tiring morning call and I didn't get coffee until after the game. Then stocked up on mandatory buttermilk, raisins, caraway seeds, flour and butter [to grease the pans] and made two round loaves of my Irish grandma's soda bread*, did a ton of dishes, hosted a 4-hour robot-building play date w Punchy's two friends and their Dad and drove in a snow flurry to drop Fig at Petco for work and zip to Sis's w Punch and Sug. We went to a big Saint Pat's party and it was fun.
Sleeping over here. We and H. will be home by tomorrow nite.
Luck of the Irish to you.
*This year I made it with
bobsredmill.com 100% Whole Grain Ivory Wheat Organic Flour and it was tan and delicious. The people at the party liked it. I want to make it again soon, not just for March 17.
Just reading about this day seven years later exhausts me. I did too much, was too accommodating. Four-hour play date which was way too long and tiring. Yikes.
