Tiny Bouquets of Thanks

It was a dark day, I won't lie. A day w morning tears and heartbreak phone calls. But it had redeeming moments. Sometimes I wonder if I'm crazy to cling to these vs. run as far and as fast as I can from life as I know it.  Yet here I stand, phone in hand. Tight pink tea roses, or maybe rugged, wild daisies, or struggling buttercups in a field of tough grass or crackling winter branches for:
  1. The pure azure sky when I walked 25 min home from town, wobbling slightly in the snow, grocery bags in my hands, turning the front doorknob at 2 p.m.
  2. My sister.
  3. My haircut and the pink, mauve coral and violet lip colors smushed in a palette at vamphairstudio.com--with sponge-tip applicators, so you could dip into a tiny well and try one before exiting w your fresh haircut. [No double dipping, please.]
  4. H. Despite all our differences in perspective about what I view as a crushing family crisis involving someone in our care, I guess he is trying his best.
  5. Lavender moisturizer.
  6. My puppy dog, now 13.
  7. Lisa and Ro.
  8. Bobby pins in brunette color.
  9. Giant tumblers of ice water.
  10. The way a young child needs you for big and little things, from heating the lentil soup to having a bath towel ready.
Good night.
