Snow-Day Luxuries

  1. Three-hour nap on couch. Not sure how that happened. But it felt so good.
  2. Snow Cream made by Punch [fresh, fluffy snow; pure vanilla extract; half and half; and sugar]. She sold cupfuls door to door [to six houses] and made $18. Generous neighbors.
  3. Steak sizzled in pan with blue cheese melted on top.
  4. Made Bliss Balls, a recipe my friend and healthy eating idol Rachael sent to me from bonappetit.com. They call for tahini, dates, maple syrup, nuts, pure unsweetened cocoa powder.
  5. Punch and I watched  "Riverdale," a cool Netflix teen mystery based on the Archie Comics.
  6. Sug romped in snow a little.
  7. Lovely bubbly bath w Aerin Tangier Vanille Body Wash. I have picked it up and put it down at Nordstrom because: $60 plus tax. But loving Poshmark. Brand-new, with plastic overwrap untouched, for $30. Still pricey, I know, compared to drugstore brands. And now that we are waiting for paychecks, I could have used that money. Oh well. A good bath is never a waste!

Good night.

Punchy with her wares.

  1. Ooh, forgot about Riverdale! On son’s gf’s rec, enjoyed season 1. Never heard of snow cream but congrats to your entrepreneur, and double congrats on peaceful nap and cooking.

    1. Hi Liz! We only watched first episode but love it. Punch a little scared by it. But I love revisiting characters created for Archie comics. Sending love.

    1. Ah yes, Nan, especially when your eyes flutter open and you realize you don’t have to rise, can sink back into slumber. It was the timeframe when I normally have to rush to meet yellow Schoolbus and then start w homework, appts, activities etc. xo
