Hard when it’s spring break and you have no internet at home so fourth grader has to sit at Starbucks w you while you try to write for four hours [between late pickup from sleepover and 5 p.m. soccer practice]. The post office is right next door, so I had Punch write a couple cards/thank yous and go mail them on separate trips. Then I gave her $2 and asked her to walk to the grocery store a few minutes down the road and get an 🍎 or two, for her and Figgy. She came back with a Payday bar. #sobeit #goodnight
TCOY
- Turkey on flatbread, apple slices, baby carrots--in a box, from Starbucks.
- Venti ice water.
- Bought ingredients to make healthy borscht soon--canned beets, lemons, buttermilk, light sour cream, etc. And for the garnish, red onion, fresh mint, cucumber. Recipe from Louisa’s Cookbook [Cape May; also sold on Amazon].
- Palmful of organic blackberries.
Yup, I’ve had to bring the boys into work, and it is not an easy day. Last day of spring break!
