Punchy and I drove 2.5 hours down the Parkway this afternoon to mile 0, Cape May! [Above, pretty basket of flowers at Congress Hall.] Sis treating us and Don’s daughter and granddaughter from Wisconsin to an overnight stay at The Grand Hotel. I’m tired, though. I was up til 1 a.m. on article deadlines and then didn’t sleep well. Sis took us all out to the Blue Pig Tavern in Congress Hall for dinner--Dan and I love that place. It was lovely, as usual. Must take a shower and go to sleep. Back to Montclair tomorrow. I did like listening to Johnny Cash and his daughter, Rosanne Cash, singing a duet ["September When It Comes"] on the car ride, and seeing clumps of cattails on the roadside. Punchy loved eating out at the restaurant. Sea dreams.Tuesday, April 3, 2018
Mini Girls Trip to Cape May
