    1. Hi Kim. Yes. My friend [mom of Punchy's friends, brother and sister twins] recommended it from her kids doing it last year. It is pricey, $500 per week, but the hours are long and I pay my sitter $13 an hour anyway. I love the sound of this camp. I hope Punchy likes it. Dan said that Jacob Ris park is on Long Island? Last year, we paid a lot for two weeks of sleep away camp but P didn't want to do that again.....so she is doing this week while home in Montclair and the Wellfleet Audubon day camp next week on the camp, 9 to 2:30 pm every day. I remember, didn't your girls do sailing camp out on Long Island? That is so cool. Love Alice

  2. Hey Alice, no Jacob Riis in on the Rockaways in Queens. My girls did a variety of things, mostly in LI. They both tried sailing; didn't love it. Here's what they liked: Maja--golf lessons (1, maybe 2 years), tennis (many years), a day camp in Bellport (only one year). Yasmine--acting classes (maybe 2 years and she was in a professional summer stock theater production of The King and I as one of the king's children!), colonial camp (one summer), and then in HS every summer, debate camp in UT Austin, which she loved and made lifelong friends at. I liked them having someplace to go, but I was also spoiled by a live-in au pair (Anna!) who regularly took them to the beach, library classes, and just did cool things with them and my nieces. This week sounds amazing for Punch and I love that it gives you nice, long stretches of days.
