Spending Spike

I want to do a nature/beauty post but it’s hot and I couldn’t fall asleep til almost 4 a.m.
I saw many Cape Cod touchstones today--roses spilling over split-rail fences; the sea catain’s sign, now old and weathered, on Aquinnah Road; the general store, with its vacationer’s edit, including mini sewing kit, donuts, magazines, postcards.
My spending was high today. I’ve been eyeing a Vineyard Vines pink gingham skort for weeks now--size XL, on sale. So I ordered it.
More writing tomorrow.
