I have an important work day tomorrow, so doing a quick post here.
I went to Wegmans on way home from Montvale to get appetizers--and, in the attached store, wine--since Fritch and Moey were coming over here.
Wegmans is a verrrry tempting foodie playground, I spent a lot, but I got a lot, much of which is in our fridge for future meals. Cart held prosciutto; lb. fresh mozzarella; pizza dough; 2 very good pesto; ciabatta; roasted tomatoes; lox; 2 packs fresh raspberries; 2 good gourmet cheese; dates stuffed with Brie, which I warmed in toaster oven; 2 cereal; 2 fresh mushroom; 1 frozen vegan pizza; jar fig jam; 2 boxes Balance bars, mainly for Punch; fresh scallops entree; very big butternut squash and fresh spinach side dish; very big pack grilled lemon chicken breasts for week; big bag Parmesan crisps; big bag snack-size Parmigiano-Reggiano portions; deodorant; holiday issue--Thanksgiving magazine; Ritz crackers; big bag popcorn; 2 reusable grocery bags; and $1 donation at register, $216.68. It was a fun spread for a rainy Sunday with Moey, Fritch and family before Fritch flew back to Florida.
I don't get to Wegmans often...I love their selection. But it is a good thing I don't shop there often.
Good night.

ReplyDeleteAha! Makes sense. That place is a play land. I got a lot of good stuff but could not afford to keep that up. Maybe once a month, though, because I'm working more in city and got readymade grilled chicken breasts etc.....sending love
