Dan and I found it gripping and grim. Very well done. If you don’t mind loan sharks and a little blood. Good night.

An ongoing quest for the meaning of life. Does true happiness exist in a Tory Burch turquoise-trimmed sheath, a MarieBelle Dark Chocolate Croquette bar, a rose garden, a rocky Maine beach, a daughter's eyes, an inky star-sprinkled sky, hours of computer keystrokes that tell a story--or all of the above?
Glad you said gripping, bc I saw trailer and thought I do not want to spend 2 hours with this character. But the performance is getting good reviews, so I will see it if he gets an Oscar nod. Off to Little Women today.

Hi Liz. Merry Christmastime! Hope you had a lovely holiday. Dan and I both thought Sandler's performance in this movie was remarkable. He inhabited the character so well. I also loved Idina Menzel (sp) and Judd Hirsch. I walk by the Diamond District in NYC and may never view it the same way again. The view of Jewish family traditions, celebrating Passover--also excellent. Disturbing what is going on in the news with Jewish family targeted during Hanukkah. Worst. Love Alice
