Trying to Stay Afloat

Liz, Nan, Kim...thank you for the messages and wisdom you put in comments here on my blog.....I am taking things to heart....

TCOY

1. Walked back from town carrying family dinner for four that I picked up curbside at Marcel. I liked seeing the red maple trees and pink, fuchsia and coral azaleas.
2. TCOYF [take care of your family] can definitely be TCOY. Made three calls to find support for Punch.
3. Lined my old wrought-iron planter with moss sheet Figgy ordered, spooned in soil, put in petunias and spritzed whole thing with water. The water is supposed to revive and refresh the moss sheet, so it looks greener and kind of springs back to life.

FOOD

• Coffee with milk.
• One fluffy Eggo toaster waffle with butter and a little pure maple syrup.
• One Café au Lait Pot de Crème, which if you think about it, is really kind of coffee and cream in a dainty retro-sized coffee cup, the kind you would rest on an equally dainty china saucer. This time with freshly whipped cream on top. 
• Chicken on a slice of bread with dab of mayo. 
• Half of a clementine.
• Dinner, 1 slice of small pesto pizza. 1/2 spinach and cheese pastry. Chicken. Side salad. 1/2 Jerusalem bagel w lox and cream cheese.
• 1/2 iced coffee with half and half.
• 3 macarons. Macaron Cafe sent a surprise thank-you gift and sweet note with my cookbook, a pack of six pretty treats in a charming box with pink ribbon. They were mighty fine. Punch and Dan had other 3. 
• Glass of milk.

$ MONEY SPENT OUT OF POCKET

• Marcel, small business in Montclair, picked up family dinner plus $5 tip, $58.74.
• Other day, ordered pants and socks for Punch, sale, Lululemon girls, $78. And underwear and socks from Target, $62. She needed all.

Total spend: $198.74.

Ongoing monthly spend as of May 15: $1,605.78.

Avg daily spend: $107.05.  K, this is getting out of control. Definitely high, shopping for comfort, to support small businesses and to avoid going to stores.
