Not Enough Coffee in the World

Punch returns tomorrow by about 5 p.m.

It has been a mostly peaceful break.

But not enough coffee in the world with this vote counting. I feel like all I did from 9:30 to 6 was call or text to discuss it with Sis and friends; pour another cup of coffee; listen to NPR in the kitchen and CNN in the living room, both on a constant loop; almost step on Sugar, since she is always underfoot; take her out constantly (she tinkles MANY times a day, a few on our wood floors); and write about Paris in between for ASPIRE DESIGN AND HOME

I really want to ge back to Pari/Paree. This lovely interior designer, a man with an incredible eye on style, told me some great things to do on a winter stroll, like visit a French candlemaker, walk in the gardens, go the oldest patisserie in Paris (which might not work right now for me, unless they have berries and cream). But a cup of steaming coffee with cream in that gilded place sounds good.

God bless America--especially New York City--and Paris, London, Munich, Madrid, This pandemic weighs heavily on the holiday spirit.

Good night.

  1. I ration my news consumption. More checking in yesterday, but still metered, only every few hours. And spent the first part of the day just processing, alone, the bitter bitter disappointment that we live in a country so filled with hate-filled racists, which is true no matter who wins.

    1. Nan, I feel the same way. I’m glad you processed the overwhelming data in peace, not a crazy buzz of media. Xo
