An ongoing quest for the meaning of life. Does true happiness exist in a Tory Burch turquoise-trimmed sheath, a MarieBelle Dark Chocolate Croquette bar, a rose garden, a rocky Maine beach, a daughter's eyes, an inky star-sprinkled sky, hours of computer keystrokes that tell a story--or all of the above?
Hey alice, glad you are relaxing in the evenings, and gathering your strength. I have no memory of the doris day show but agree her look is wonderful. I remember the teen books of the 60s, and the teens did not have the huge amounts of clothes we do, or Doris did. I remember one book about a teen sighing over a peer who had a different sweater for every school day. And most girls made their prom dresses. And she was not poor, it was the norm. I am not sure when the plentiful cheap clothes for everyone arrived.
ReplyDeleteHard couple of weeks here, but looking forward to Easter.
