Good Things Today

  • Important writing.
  • Weeded garden.
  • Popped some nasturtium seeds into pots.
  • Held bag while Skip swept out leaf-covered trampoline in backyard.
  • Emptied compost containers into bin with her.
  • Hauled two big brown lawn & leaf bags to curb.
  • Walked at Turtle Back Zoo loop with Dan, Skip and our longtime friend Patricia.
  • Saw lots of turtles sunning themselves on rocks.
  • Did dishwasher load so we are up and running for Monday morning.
  • Ice water.
  • Healthy eating.
  • Fresh fruit bowl at restaurant.
  • Stopped at police station to drop off outdated prescription meds in special box they have.
  • Coffee.
  • Watched 2020 “Rebecca” movie on Netflix while Skip was at Figgy’s for dinner. Very good! I like it better than the Hitchcock original. Kristin Scott Thomas is precise and evil as Mrs. Danvers--from her red lips to her dark clothing and menacing glances.. Lily James is an excellent Rebecca. I marvel at Daphne du Maurier, who wrote the novel (1938) and also The Birds short story.  I wish to write like that.
Above: Chilling Mrs. Danvers and Rebecca.

Good night.
