- Skippy and I got pur pool passes (for the town pools) and went to the pretty Mountainside Pool today. Actually, she walked there ahead of me and when I arrived, she walked back home. Something about not wanting to be seen with an adult. (Her friend couldn’t make it today.) No hard feelings for me. I remember 14. At least we both cooled off.
- Our window AC units chugging like workhorses as our electric bill climbs.
- Bumblebees on flowers.
- Mosquitoes and lightning bugs at night.
- Figgy’s apt in town lost power for a few hours so she came over to plug in and work. Skippy had all three of us (with Dan) watch her do a cool longboard 🛹 trick. She was so proud and so were we.

Holy cow, how exemplary. We are all testy and snapping at each other in this heat...skateboard tricks including just standing on it, wow me too.
