- Skipper read for 15 minutes. Dan and I made it one of the conditions for her weekly allowance. The others include emptying the dishwasher daily and cleaning the kitty litter box twice a week. She loses $3 on any day she curses at either one of us. She can gain $1 here and there with extra chores, like weeding or raking.

- Kitten Nina trying and trying to get friendly with aloof Sugar, age 17. Nina has her best chances when Sug is sound asleep, as she just was on the couch. Nina carefully sidled up to her. But nowthat she woke up, tiny Sug wants to throw her weight around and move. Old dustmop pill.
