I was roasting it with a drizzle of walnut oil but we had an important family appointment at our house. I thought I had turned off the toaster oven but no--charred as night. It’s okay. I had backup veggies. Steamed asparagus. A jar of sauerkraut.
And I made a big blue Le Creuset potful of delicious applesauce with a hint of pure vanilla.
