Since I generally blog here at night, Tired could be my post title quite often. But tired I am. And about to head to bed, the first Saint Patrick's Day of my life without Dad around. He used to make corned beef, cabbage and potatoes--even though he wasn't really Irish. He married into it.
H. usually makes my Grandma Alice's Irish soda bread on March 17, but not this year. The stars are not in their courses.
I hope and pray for strength and goodness for Figgy, H. and me.
Good night.

Funny how they liked Irish food. My dad used to make the same thing, too and he didn’t even marry into it! I remember a few times, long ago, that we went to your house for St. Pat’s and to celebrate my father’s birthday. (He would have been 90 on March 16th.) Your mom made a birthday layer cake, and once, there were 2 kinds of soda bread. I think that maybe Sis made one of them. Did she make that? Is that right? Hope you had a good night’s sleep and have a good day. Love, Linda
