It's already 1:08 A.M. In those 16 minutes, I have gotten too tired to do my nails. I would love to do them tomorrow, but doubt that will happen with all the running around and preparing. I will try.

An ongoing quest for the meaning of life. Does true happiness exist in a Tory Burch turquoise-trimmed sheath, a MarieBelle Dark Chocolate Croquette bar, a rose garden, a rocky Maine beach, a daughter's eyes, an inky star-sprinkled sky, hours of computer keystrokes that tell a story--or all of the above?
It's the not doing your nails because you are doing the 20th nice thing for H or Figgy or because you're baking for some civic cause -- all at the cost of you -- that is the slippery road. Not doing your nails because you're exhausted and choosing wisely the needed sleep is a sound decision in my book! Hope your Easter was lovely and filled with beauty and serenity.
ReplyDeleteYes, Kim, that is sound advice. Thank you for the note. Happy Easter to you, too. :)
