Eggnogged Out

Figgy had about 12 friends over for a Christmas party, and we invited a few of their parents, too. I made eggnog [you make a safe cooked custard base, so no raw egg worries], butter cookies, gingerbread cookies and red velvet cupcakes. We had a big spiral-cut Smithfield ham, fresh mozzarella and Parkerhouse rolls from the Marlboro Inn Bake Shoppe on Grove Street in Montclair. Figgy decorated in a pretty red and gold scheme. Sug begged everyone near the table for ham--even after she had a china plateful, like the dog in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." We are all really tired now. H. and I got up at 8 and worked all day, between cleaning, serving and cleaning up. Entertaining takes its toll.

Good night.

TCOY

  2. Good tooth care.
