I wrote here on April 6 about BUYING AN iPHONE 5. Now I'm writing from the Apple store at Willowbrook Mall--had to come in and get the speaker replaced. Apparently, this is a somewhat typical problem with the iPhone 5. Glad I got a working speaker again; I especially like to put the phone on speaker when I'm doing an article interview and taking notes. It's been about a month, so that means I only had the phone two months before it happened.
One-year warranty, thank goodness. Otherwise, the speaker alone would have cost $59.
Props to Justin, the talented blue-T-shirted technician who helped me here.
Off to the food court to try to find a healthy lunch [protein, vegs, fiber--no jumbo Crumbs cupcake or giant, gooey Cinnabon, both of which lurk there]. Then back into the heat again.
P.S. I really do love this MacBook Pro I've been using at the wait station.....fingers just fly over keyboard!!! very nice.
