Had wonderful Elaine watch Punch from 10 to 2 but spent a lot of that time exercising and buying healthy groceries like purple striped eggplants, zucchini, big red plums, brown rice and veggie burgers.
Did a work call and some emails. Really need to settle down and catch up.
Meanwhile, during the 6 hours with Punch--2 P.M. to 8 P.M.--there were moments of beauty and moments of exhaustion. Beauty: Sophie saw a hummingbird by the red impatiens. Punch and I got a bday card for Figgy. We also picked up a lot of baked goods donated by Le Baker's Dozen Bake Shop and brought them to Toni's Kitchen. Punch was a great helper. Exhaustion: Retying pink sneaks a million times. Reminding someone small how to safely cross the street again and again.

2. Made eggplant and zucchini for supper, sautéed in olive oil and garlic with one of Elaine's supreme garden tomatoes.
