Not quite glass slippers, but drove about 15 minutes to exit 160 on the Parkway today to drop off my shoes at Hakky Shoe Repair & Tailoring at Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus. I haven't been happy with the places I've tried closer to home. They seem to charge a lot and take too long. I handed over
- 1 pair metallic gold leather Coach sandals with Grecian coin decoration that I bought at Neiman Marcus for Patrick and Lauren's Florida wedding several years back.
- 1 pair Tory Burch metallic gold sandals with stacked golden heel that I bought within the last couple of years, partially with gift card Moey and Ted gave me for my birthday.
- 1 pair Tory Burch black and tan bow sandals.
- 1 pair Geox faux-snakeskin slingback pumps.
The total cost will be $99. But trust me, I wear my shoes down to the ground. I'm picking them up on Saturday, so I can be well-heeled for a press trip to Tybee Island off the coast of Georgia this coming Monday through Thursday.
The phone number for the shop is 201 368 0929. I was initially steered there by the shoe salesman at Nordstrom, when I bought a pair of black Pradas on sale a couple of months ago and had to get another hole added to the ankle strap.
I consider this dropoff one big TCOY.
Good night.
TCOY
- Above!
- Mailed Mother's Day cards.
- Felt rumpled and overweight walking through Neiman Marcus.....30 percent off a lot of designer clothing, but wasn't in love with any of it except one slim and luscious black cashmere Burberry Brit sweater that was $345 even after the 30 percent off, so I skipped it. Found Not Your Daughter's Jeans [NYDJ] cropped white jeans at Nordstrom. That feels TCOY. And pretty sure I logged a lot of steps mall walking. My fitbit flex bracelet kept vibrating.
