Susan Hancock of Abshire PR showed me The Flip Flop Cottage on 802 14th Street. [Mermaidcottages.com] It's beautiful and beachy, perfect for a girlfriends' getaway. Where are my girlfriends? A chilled bottle of white wine was left in the fridge. Again, where are my girlfriends? |

We had lunch at the Tybee Island Social Club. Has a relaxed Key West vibe... keep remembering the trip H., Figgy and I took to Key West around Christmastime when H. got his last book contract. I like that they had shell jewelry for sale. The blue crab stew and steak tacos were delicious. Sipped white jasmine sangria, too. |

A little trailer named Sweetie Pie sells gelato. Didn't try it yet but it's colorful. |

The yogurt and fresh fruit parfait at Beachview B&B. Those are chunks of toasted homemade pound cake. Nancy, another writer on the press trip, works at Paula Deen Magazine in Birmingham. We talked about the history of pound cake.*
*After careful consideration, I decided to eat some sugar on this trip.
